Unharnessed
Shall we confine ourselves to the limitations of quantitative love
Measuring within confines outdatedly constrictive
Meandering in the fenced lines of worn out definitive memories
Shake me to the core towards the unbeaten path
For I will not be a repeat of the past
Tie these hands and tie these feet, gag the wayward speech
Still it would not prevent this soul expansion
From moving beyond congregated obstructions of petrified oughts
Painting pictures filled with shadows gray of many loves before
Leave behind the illusion of control for they exist not in the universal equivalency
Archaic those habits cannot move forward unburdened
For they belong to the past of old relations
Give love room to develop and grow soundly for the hardened cannot seize it
