    untimely departure

there you were on your way home, following the rules of the road
when a person who had a bit to drink , ran through the red light
the cars collided glass shattered, flipped rolled and stopped
emergency crews rushed to the scene, using what they could to get you out
bleeding barely alive yoiu were flown , to the nearest hospital
my heart racing as i knew you were hurt, though i had not been there
for we always had this special connection, i rushed to my car and started to drive
with no i dea where i was going, i eneded up at a hospital
climbed the stairs and found you
as i entered the room yoiu flatlined, dying tight there in front of me
doctors rushed in pushing me out of the way
i watched them work on you , until they made the call
with no idea where i was or how to get home
i sat there staring at your lifeless body, torn apart from the wreck just hours ago
in my heart you are still with me, and i will never let you go

I am soo sorry. I could feel your pain and wish there was something I could say, but I don't know what that is. Keep writing, though you have wonderful talent and writing is the best medicine cause you can write whatever you want, no one has to read it, but it's out of your body and the pain can't poison you.

I hope writing eases your pain some of the loss. I know it is my release and helps me through the tough times. I am sorry for your loss.

so very sorry........wrecks are devestating in so many ways. unfortunately, you had to experience it. take care.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
