    Poem Commentary

Sunday had never been such a promising day, but that Sunday was. We drove around not knowing where we were going. But it didn't matter. We had each other. And it was wonderful.

    Untitled III

    My heart beat thickened
    as his hand enveloped mine.
    I smiled at him,
and the twinkle in his eyes told me
that this is really what he wants.

    "Where are we going?"
    "Does it matter?"

This is so romantic and lovely. The narrator seems to be abandoning cynicism in favor of brighteyed innocence and an almost childlike hopefulness.I also think that the poem's elngth is perfect. It says just enough without giving away too much and brings a simple, open outcome that can be left to the reader's imagination. Perfect

This is so simple, and yet it's overflowing with meaning and raw emotion. Perfect :)

Loved this for it's brevity, insinuations, meter and word selection. a true winner

Thank you so much. For some reason, I have been into those short writes... They can say just as much as a novel. :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
