I want you to know you were right today,
You can't always say what you want to say.
A person scared of the future at hand,
Might be affraid when its time to take a stand.
I wish you could see,
Whats inside of me.
The words I've shared with so many stars.
The tears I've shed thru the bars.
All a test I suppose of my spirit,
They didn't break me I made sure they could hear it.
I'm not as tough as people might see,
But when it comes to family strong I'll be.
Alone never more in this world of pain,
Can you hear the whispers when it rains?
Loved ones watch over me day and night,
Helping me find the path from wrong to right.
Still I sit and wonder why,
God took him from me and alone I cry.
I close my eyes and then I hear,
The music he played, playing in my ears.
I say a prayer for him each day,
Hopeing he's in peace where he lay.
Dreams fall upon me once and a while,
Where he comes from above with a great big smile.
I can't let go to the memories we had,
No matter what you'll always be my Dad.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
