Veruka Salt

I want....

what I want

and I know not what that want may be.

so you have to guess

what I want...

you promised you would always provide for me.

because I want WHEN I want--

and when I decide to need it

and when I want it, need it, spy it--

Please, please run

for I burn to chase it....

So bring me what I want and

satisfied I will not be

but be a devil, dangle it--

and that want is all I'll want to see

so be the serpent, show the apple

hidden within your coils

and then play god and say

"Tempt thee not

To eat those sacred spoils."

Because then you'll have given me all I want

All I ever needed.

A god and devil and curious child

a want and desire to steal it.
