    Poem Commentary

    a man is imprisoned by meaningless life and the only way out is out of the question

    VILLA TOSCANA
    from under the door a ray of sunlight
    lights up a small spot on the kitchen floor
    stray pieces of cat litter scattered in the glow
    like rocks on a desert landscape
    the walls are so close i can touch them
    and the open window
    too far away to jump

    i really like this one dad. i love how the walls are so close yet the window is so far.
