Visions of Me In California

On the night of a thousand excites
She left alone for her lonely home
In California
It was the perfect night to live her life
With dancing, romancing, and delight
In California
What she didn't see was the shadow of me
A knife in my hand along with a plan
In California
The blade cried as tears crept in her eyes
I shivered to think that she's on the brink
In California

Good Night my love
Wait for me in the moonlight
I've never been loved
By someone with stars in her eyes

Whisper to me about your life
Is this how you thought it would end
Did you think you would grow old
With children and grandchildren

I've had my fill, yet I still seem to lose
Such a soft face isn't easy to muse
It ends this way but I just can't refuse
That intangible thrill I carelessly used

Her racing thoughts couldn't tame restless feet
She started to fade as her mind fought to beat
Visions of Me
A wrong place in the night to only hindsight
It couldn't be seen by any of her daydreams
Visions of Me
In life she was plain; death will make her arcane
Lying in vain struggling to regain her dim
Visions of Me
What kind of secrets did she keep inside
What kind of mirrors did she use to hide
Visions of Me

Good Night my love
Wait for me in the graveyard's moonlight
I've never been loved
By someone with the stars in her eyes

Voices whispering to me about her life
Is this how she thought it would end
Did she think that she would grow old
With children and grandchildren

Such a pretty face wasn't easy to muse
I've had my fill, yet I still seem to lose
That intangible thrill I carelessly used
It ended this way because I couldn't refuse

Thank you. It's quite deviant, but its intent is not lost on the fact that it entertains. Again, thank you very much.
