Void

Void

There is no more sadness
just teasing whispers of regret
a sharp sense of finality
No more tears or hopes
for tomorrow being better
only numbing coldness
Desire, passion, gentleness bone dry
vast emptiness remains

When we lose a love or are rejected truly there is a void left inside of us. You beautifully describe that kind of situation. I have felt the void myself, but in time it is filled if you fill your life with all the good things in the world that can bring a sense of beauty that surrounds us.

Well written my dear, A very sad poem on a subject that many of us are familiar with. I hope the pain is fading and the sun is shinning in your world now. Doug

Nice poem, but I hope not for you...

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
