    War Of The Words

    There’s a battle waging

    within the depths of my soul.

    Between doing what’s right,

    and that which I’m told.

    Should I listen to the words,

    of those who have my ears,

    or heed the ones of inner self,

    hidden beneath my fears?

    When the battle is over

    A victor has been claimed

    I must ask the conscious me

    Did I do the right thing?

    If my soul is not content

    Where shall I lay the blame?

    With those who have my ears

    Or is it all mine to claim.

    The mind tricks the mind. It is like a parallel universe, wishing to traverse both paths and SEE the outcome before deciding. The path is unpaved tho. And there's no going back. Deep minded poem. Enjoyed the read.
