    War

    Soldiers marching, children crying.
Bombs and bullets screaming through the air.
    Yellow ribbons everywhere.
    Suicide, divorce, job changes about.
    Earthquakes, tornadoes, fires, and floods.
The earth is shifting to get our attention.
A new age is upon us, perhaps...
A cleansing of the old to make way for the new.
    A new beginning.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
