    Warning

     People tell me a broken heart can't kill you,
    Maybe they haven't seem the extremes the broken hearted will do,
    Turn our backs on the pain we don't want to see,
    Go and pretend the broken will be happy,
    Say to them it will be alright,
    You feel better if you can just sleep tonight,
    Don't worry you will find someone new,
    There is no one and the unbroken don't have a clue,
    The heart broken and the pain on fire,
    They leap for death in hopes to end the desire,
    Some hearts don't heal,
    Just like some people don't feel,
    Becareful of what is said,
    Some broken hearts are left for dead.

    "There is no one and the unbroken don't have a clue." I remember when I was broken and I felt that no one could understand my pain. Now I'm better and I have friends/family who are broken as we speak and I cannot understand. But reading this poem is making me think and also opening my heart to show more compassion. Thank you for writing this.

    I like it, reminds me of many of the conversations I have been having with friends who are now single male and female.
