Was it murder or suicide March 25th 2009

Lying in bed I watch you eternally sleeping
I’m across the room in the chair silently weeping.

The curtains you picked remain drawn
Keeping out growing embers of new day born.

Reminisce of days gone by, the fun we shared
Watching you from brunette to silver haired.

Years together, suffered sorrow enjoyed glee
All that time has gone so quickly for me.

So many mornings watching you awaking
    Nights remembered of passionate lovemaking.

Beauty forever captured in your final pose
A life with me was the one you chose.

The pain of life without you too much to bear
Next part of the journey I want us to share.

They will be here soon I did the right thing
Picking up the telephone I gave them a ring.

People won’t understand, but I care no more
Looking down at the blood and knife on the floor.

Very dark and deep. I hope guilt is not what you keep. Nice piece, loved the rhythm, loved the rhyme. The story is good. The piece is fine. You should write all of the time. Write on....

artist again paints a picture for the beholder to read beyond...left with many questions unanswered is yet the artist's plea

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
