    Ways to Die

    Let me start by saying
I am not what you think.
    I have been a problem
    for quite some time now.
I have thought of a list
of the ways I want to die.

To begin, jumping against the wall
with every ounce of energy contained.
I watch as pieces of me fly around.
Shattered and beaten, I look for rest
    but find none
    until my time is gone.

    Falling from a bridge
    to my death after all,
I know that I will break
    with the fall.
It is a place where machines lay
    waiting to be recovered.

Flying out of a speeding car
in a hurry to get away.
    I hit the road
and see parts of me spread about.
I never knew there was so much of me
until I saw it all spilling out.

Aww yes.Being eaten by a shark.
    That sounds good.
Feeling each time he bites me
and laughing with every broken tooth.
    He thought I would bleed
but he's the one hurting now.

    I am not a baseball
but that is hard to believe
with every swing of the bat.
I'm breaking apart and my insides fly away
but watch what part of me hits you
because I can cut like a blade.

These thoughts that run through my mind
are but images I see every day.
You may not think I see them
    but I do.
I am the computer screen, that you look at,
and I'm waiting for you to go away.
Each time you look at me
I think of another way to die.

Its funny that so many people do not like this poem. They think it is my death wish whereas it is not.I wrote this poem when my computer kept acting up about how many different ways I could destroy it

your comments express alot of judgement and anger, who are you to be so destructive, you realize you do not understand it, thus not understanding what arrogance has given impulse to make these discouraging statements... oh I know more than you wish to think on, enjoy your superiority, while you can

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
