    monsters and flowers
    men and their memories
    forgetting to live

    the poet sits in a cell
    with a pen and the
    page is his prison

    the mind,
    if you listen
    is lucid and wise

    but the tongue
    twists its words
    to disguise

    monsters and flowers
    and memories men
    live to forget.

    we are memorable

    We are memorable.


    vulnerable as the memory of

    minutes we've lived.

    delicate as the nostalgia we

    bury ourselves with.

     

    i resurface,

    breaking the skin

    of the soft water

    of years

    i'd submerged

    myself in-

    Forgetful.


    In the morning

    nights are memorable

    and every flower

    smiles to be noticed

    by the sunrise.

    Ah catarino as your icon implies you have your music ready in the background. I am sure I heard somewhat of a pizzicato rhythm or should I say notes.....in accompianment as you scratched away the ode on the pad with your somewhat scratch pen. lol
