We Thank You

We Thank You

we thank you for the hours you played
we thank you for the noise you made
we thank you for the smiles you smiled
we thank you for being a child
we thank you for the love you loved
we thank you for the things you touched
we thank you for the inbetween
we thank you for being a teen
we thank you for the child you made
we thank you for your working days
we thank you for your life, so dull
we thank you for being adult
we thank you for your later years
we thank you for all your shed tears
we thank you for your retirement
we thank you for being a grandparent
we thank you for all your white hair
we thank you for your rocking chair
we thank you for your loving wife
we thank you for your long life
we thank you for your unhappy years
we thank you for your aching back
we thank you for all youve done,
So now, we take it back

this is well written and presented with class—bravo!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
