Weeping Willow

Why do you cry for me?
Do you think I cannot see?
Why do you weep for me?
Do you think I cannot Be?

Why don't you sing or scream for me from amongst your tree?
Why don't you shake and shimmer for me?
Why do you cry for Me?

Do you think I am not Free?
Do you think I will not Be?

Why do you weep for me?
Instead you could count the sheep for me.
Why don't you think for me from amongst your tree?

Why don't you open your heart for me and let your love flow through your great roots...
Instead you weep, letting the tears fall down your branches and shoot. . .
Why do cry for me?
Do you think I cannot See?
Why do you Weep for Me?
Do you think I cannot Be?

Instead sleep for me,
in the comfort of your dirt.
PRAY for me hide me beneath your skirt...
Laugh with me, let me flirt...
Don't weep for me, even though you are a Weeping Willow...
Sing, dance, and sleep for me amongst your great big pillow.

Sadness looking for that happy place seems to come only in death or is death but a birth into a new place... where we still live.... new dreams... One thing TREE is the hole not a part so among the hole to me don't fit.. feels more a part of TREE like leaves limbs... just my feel on it... since ya ran that twice it got me if had once might have gone by.. Still enjoyed read well done....

Wagus, Thank you for your insight. That is a great point that I hadn't fully considered. Cheers, Ness

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
