    Weeping Willow

     Forest beauty invites the woodland creatures
    With a nurturing love.
    Like the sun, rays peek through the branches
    above...
    Beyond the wooded line, are the majestic pine,
    In the meadows stead.
    A single willow stands by the river edge......
    It sadly bows its head...
    The very soul of this tree weeps, the Eagle said.
    The Owl begins to shake and shiver when realizing,
    The willows tears have made the river!!!!!

    Thank You Altair, I believe that trees are the quality of life in its purest form, secure roots that feed of Earth, giving oxygen and reaching to the sky. Take care, Allseasonsverse

    I love the inclusion of trees in poetry, not sure why really, perhaps they are just poetic in themselves. This willow is quite accomplished, liking the figurative shifts.
