    Poem Commentary

another of what i call, "My Personal Inventory" poems. lol

    welcome

    <>

    welcome from the fringe
dreary teary days soaked in binges
and badges of shame and hate
once dusted and broken now busted free
from this late war with myself

    welcome from the ledge
slipping and tripped up by my mind
    believing in my own deceit
cashed all the checks but burned the receipts
in my fire pit of stomach acid ridicule

welcome from the end and the edge
where the light hits your eyes
and darkness scatters from the skies

    welcome from where i was
welcome to where i am going

I like this poem very much and it reveals the inner sanctum of your thoughts about life. Honest and at times someone sad. I have no reservations in rating this work a 10.

"welcome from the fringe dreary teary days soaked in binges and barges of shame and hate once dusted and broken now busted free from this late war with myself" Have you been secretly watching my own life or what?!? Just brilliant, and I can FEEL you, I can FEEL your emotion coming through....just had to add that!

Crush, oh my crush.... :) It's been a couple years, yes I said YEARS, since I have come back on to this site, and you were the first person who I thought to check out, as I have always loved your work. I very much loved this poem. I resonated with it so much, as I am welcoming myself back into life as well, and I just wanted to let you know that your words have inspired me to create something else of wonder and beauty to share again. I originally came back to the poems I had written because I finally felt brave enough to share them with someone I know, instead of just posting here where I am amongst like-minded strangers, if you will :) I shared one of my poems with a friend, and it was one that you had commented on and loved. I am glad I read this, and I look forward to reading all the rest of yours that I have missed. Welcome back indeed!! Lots of love to you :)
