    What I Let Go

    It's simple
continue on and leave the past behing
It is said you can't change a person
Well, not for the better at least
Perhaps I may have changed him for the worst
By spoiling and catering to his every need
I may have changed his personna about me
"She'll always be there, she my girl"
But I didn't stay that way for long
    Had to move on

Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free
I'm nobody's cow, so I had to stay away physically
For me, physical ties into emotion
Then I realize we're not together anymore and I'm hurt
But I can't be mad at him because I brought it upon myself
Because I let go of somebody that I no longer belonged to myself

Beutifully written and good advise too :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
