what if

what if

the man in the blood soaked
robe
walked staggering
as if drunk
up the hill covered
with onlookers
some sad
most shouting crucify
as he struggled for his
human breath
bearing the weight
of the heavy cross

a man who had done no wrong
but condemmed anyway
to the hill of skulls.

this man had refused
to be obedient
to his father


what if we had
NO
way  out of eternity
 what if
GOD
had not sent his son

what if
you and i refuse
to believe
in the way provided

well we forever
will
be separated
from
