    Poem Commentary

I write this out of my inspiration when I take a pic of a child sleeping outside the fastfood corner...

    What is life

    What is life for me?

    For a child who lives

    In a third rate city

It is sad? Is it happy?

    For that I don’t know

    All I know is

    “I have a heart,

    that can be happy

    that can be sad”

    Who said that happiness

Can only be found in all the luxuries

Or fame or any major successes?

    I am nothing

    I am nobody

I am just a nameless little kid

    In a crowd of statues

    Walking and passing beside me

    As I was sleeping here

    Beside this fast food corner

    But inside my dream

    I am smiling

    Smiling of dreaming

    Of tasting the burger

    Inside this corner

And I felt nothing but joy

    Who said that happiness

    Is just in luxuries?

The cold floor I am sleeping

Is this a form of luxury?

    But why I felt gratified

Just by the idea of sleeping

    And breathing

Just by thinking that all man

    Is happy when they’re sleeping

    I don’t have awards

Or honors, I don’t go to school

Or win contest in sports or essay

    But why I felt happy

    Though all I have

    Is a grin from mom

When I give her some of my alms?

Is this only the algorithm of bliss?

    When happiness=success (fame)+luxuries?

    For that I don’t know

    To you I might be

    Just a nameless, faceless

    Little kid

Lying here as you pass by

    But all I can say

Is that, I can be happy

    I can be sad

    Because like you

    I too have a heart

A teacher I once had said that the most beautiful poetry and things in life are the simplest. The simplicity you have shown in this work is one of the most beautiful things ive seen .

'WHAT IS LIFE.....?' Great moments, good times laughter, pain, heartache, sickness, distress, disappointment, ups, downs, frowns lying, crying, beatings odds, surviving loses, realizing death but living like there's no end! Loved your pictured inspiration through a child's nonchalant simpleness! So free, so uninhibited! Vibrant pen ~ excellent read!

Your awesome work is similar to a photographer taking the one perfect picture of a lifetime. Each poem possesses this special inner eye that sees, hears, senses, and relates all that is real. A great stand-up write!

This poem is so amazing..I love the way you feel for others and your heart seems so pure and sincere....I love it!!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
