what went wrong??
The night's are so cold, the day's to long.
the emptiness devours me, for you i long.
what went wrong??
my weakness has captured me,
i feel worthless and alone,
your love has left me, it's dead and gone.
my pride has vanished, self respect has hid,
i wonder if you ever loved me,
i doubt that you did.
i've cried, i've begged, you were so cold,
i want you, i need you, i gave you my soul,
what went wrong??
your love was forever, forever came to soon,
on my knee's where you left me, as you walked out of the room,
to the arms of another, you left so unkind,
i question and wonder, how could have i been so blind??
time is a healer, so i've heard,
my heart is still broken, my vision still blurred,
the tears still fall, the hurt won't stop,
still time goes by, like the ticking of a clock,
feels like it was yesterday, you tore us apart,
over twenty years ago you chose your new start,
i've picked up the pieces and laid them aside,
pieces of love that has never died,
the night's are still cold,
the day's are still long,
