    what would it have been like?
    What would it have been like,
    To know who you were?
    What would it have been like,
    To grow up with you here.
    Would you love who I am?
    Or hate me just the same?
    Would you grow to love me/
    All I have is an old picture,
    And your name
    I wish I knew the answers
    To my questions
    But alas I have none
    For what I need is you
    But your long gone
    You are my father
    But yet not
    For you left me so long ago
    That I don’t recall you at all
    You died, and left me here without you
    You were gone before I was one
    You left a hole in my heart
    One that can never be filled
    I wish I could have known you
    But they took my chance away
    And now you are long gone
    Leaving me here to wonder
    What would it have been like/
