What You, My Savior Do

What You, My Savior Do

You make me feel alive inside.
The voices scream out wanting to escape and ruin me,
But you push them back,
Forcing a retreat to where they belong.
But they return
Screaming at me, running around
Stomping thier feet inside my brain
They never rest!
You take them away
Thank you for that
You saved me
I love you, my Lord!

Every single mind and every single heart that's ever been or ever will be here on this earth, gets all the inner strength and encouragement it needs to do, and to be who and what it is from a core belief in something bigger and greater than anything it sees or discovers along the journey called, life... It is the belief in that (whatever it might be), that is nourished by their hope and faith that they're right about it, that makes them persist to keep living... The old cliche' about "can't live on love" really doesn't cover both sides of the appeal... Could anyone live in a world where there was no love...??? I'd like to think, not... A good, fairly short religious write...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
