Poem Commentary

This poem goes out to all the women who are insecure about their bodies

What you see versus What I see

What you see versus what I see:  39 Lines

When you look in the mirror it can be difficult for you,
You see something that you never knew,
Would haunt you, disfigure your face as you make ugly facial expressions,
In what you see which can lead you to many depressions,

But what i see is a woman with beauty,
Who on her worst day wouldn't look fruity,
You see wide hips and a bottom too big, too bubbly,
I see cushion and pillows of comfort, how lovely,
You see curves that you like, but really don't want,
I see a figure that is better than any bold type font,

You see a face that may have a nose that isn't just right,
I see a nose that is just fine in symetry whether day or night,
You see lips that are too big or too small,
I see lips that glisten like a cool waterfall,
You see eyes that could be another color,
I see eyes that are unlike any other,

You see breast that are too big, too small, or just not right,
I see a place that i can rest my head and find comfort when there is no light,
You see hair that to you is average at best,
I see hair that is beautiful, and elegant whether moving freely or at rest,
You see a face that sometimes might break out of acne to a fault not entirely of your own,
I see a surface that in intense moments, is mine to roam,

You see legs that aren't as shapely as you desire,
I see legs that are georgeous without retire,
You see arms that don't have your view of their physical peak, their physical form,
I see arms that look just fine, and by far aren't gracefully the norm,
You see a smile that portrudes little and not much,
I see a smile that makes me yearn your very touch,

You see the whole picture and say "I'm fat!, Too Skinny!, Ugly! Not worthy! My Boobs are too small or too big! My ass is too big!, Where the Fuck is my ass?"
I look you up and down and look right past,
All the bullshit because what you see I do not,
And I'm just the guy checking you out across the storeroom lot!

lol i like the last line "And I'm just the guy checking you out across the storeroom lot!" thats a compliment waiting to be heard by someone who is waiting to just hear it. its funny but its the truth for women who are looked over by guys who think theyre sexy. and you made it just that. Sydney

Beautiful and real poem here King, woman need to learn that the true beauty is in the way they make us feel. And if they are with someone who makes them feel like they need to have a body worthy enough to grace the cover of cosmo, then they need to turn tail and run and get themselves a real man bro. Nice write my friend. 10 from me. ~Spence

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
