Poem Commentary

was trying to touch someone... many moons ago.

wanted to explain how its not so easy to do this love thing

and when I am ready... I'M READY.

When its time, in Its time

In case you haven’t noticed, in case you don’t know

Life goes fast and rarely slow…. So…

I’m in a hurry to be happy and sometimes nappy head may not be ready to be seen

and sometimes I may come across mean....

but it’s not always what it may seem when it comes to you and me.

I’m in a hurry to be happy, no time for tacky or “lackey” types in my life,

Searching for my wife, my best friend, someone to take my hand

While we walk while sand and plan forever and live cool.

I’m in a hurry sometimes with you!

I don’t mean to push but I believe ya my Boo,

To be my Number One to my Two (second ll none)

And deep down you can see I’m true thru the sun.

Getting the digests is like prying a kid from candy jar

Or removing a drunk from the bar before last call.

I try... I fall…. I get back up and ask “what’s up?”

But like a shooting star you’re gone… But not without my wish...

Not without the kiss I send right after then followed by laughter and digital hugs

While other “friends” mean mug but I shrug em off and focus back to you.

I’m in a hurry yes… but only to spend forever with

You.

Awww, sweet Flavorist! Sorry to hear it was many moons ago for you. Life has a way of throwing us a curve ball when you least expect it. You obviously have a heart full of love to give, I hope that your "#2" (second to NONE) realizes what they find when they find you. Nice piece. Saylar

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
