    Where Am I?

    Father, I'm anxious,
    because I'm having it hard.
    I'm use to life's pain,
    but now obtaining
    uexpected scars.
    My wife's eyes say "bye",
while I'm trying to say "hi".
    I then attempt
    to turn toward my child's
    innocent cries.
    I'm falling to pieces.
    Am I losing all?
I fight for a peace of mind.
    Am I choosing a fall?
    I'm being called,
    but everthing is vague
    and incoherent.
    Am I a good husband,
    good man,
    the right parent?
    God where am I?
    Have I traveled alone?
    Is anyone happy
    about having me home?
    Is there a job
    that is out here
    I should apply for?
    I've applied so many places,
and I'm asked to try more.
    But I'm asking You, God;
    You know better
    than us all.
    Why are you so silent
    right now,
    and when You speak
    everything's on pause?
So I miss too many things,
and hear just a few words.
    I sucked up everything else,
now I'm faced with a new curve.
    God where are You,
so I can know where I am?
Because shame is making me feel
    like less than a man.

    Just beautiful!!!!!!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
