Where are you?

Where are you?

Where are you?

Sitting here all by myself
Hoping you'll call soon
One minute it's daylight
The next I'm looking at the moon

I can't stand sitting here waiting all the time, I won't do it when I'm the one in need

Where are you when I need a helping hand, Why I aren't you here to listen and understand I worked for you, and I worked for us but when push come to shove where are you?

Fought for this moment
To hear all the lies
Why does it even matter
When you ignore my cries

I can't deal with a half-assed man, I need a full heart to give to me I won't put up with disrespect when you lie to me

I trusted you to be my right hand man, to stand by me when I cried You broke my heart the moment you chose and lied I needed the most and you weren't there where were you when I needed someone

Where were u when I needed you? You left me to tears, to drown in my fears i hope you're proud of what you've done

I needed you to hold me but you chose someone else, Trusted you to take me by hand and make me feel like the only one but you left me, left me for dead, left me for someone else to pick up the peices now I hold myself, thinking of what used to be and ask I myself......where were you? scratch that.....where are you?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
