Where the Trolls Live
Under the bridge where the old trolls live,Not so far from our back door,
There is a long, dark tunnel, that draws little boys
Who go out to play and explore.
Many the time those same boys
Have been warned not to go too far.
But, alas, there are many the time,
They choose those words to ignore.
T'was one time the parents put them to bed
Only to awake and find them gone.
And, after a frustrating, long night's search,
Find them back in their bed sound asleep, at dawn.
Not a memory of it the very next day,
To answer the questioning parent,
And, There just might be
One little boy gone errant,
Never to be seen again,
At the cost of a parent's broken heart.
Yet, all the trolls know that
Each one has to do their part.
They must fill the role of an old troll
Lost to the angels' call.
It is one of the biggest honors awarded
To a young boy, to whom the role might fall.
So, Little Boys, if you sneak out at night
You are not really all that smart.
For, there may just be and empty troll spot
Waiting for a naughty boy, and,
It may fall to him to fill the part.
