Poem Commentary

I wrote this as verse. It reads like verse. I rhymed a little, broke some lines... but in the end, it says what I wanted it to say (and argue about). We are not God. We were given rules, and those rules can conflict with human nature. For example: It was important to take Hitler out, because of his destruction to human beings on Earth. This was a move that was in benefit to Mankind, but conflicts with the rules of God (Ten Commandments). And therein lies the questions. Ask.

Which road leads to Heaven?

Which road leads to Heaven?

At least I now know why,

Jesus did not want to become a politician.

There is no way that decisions can be made,

that will benefit everybody in every way.

I also realized that by giving man

the freedom of choice,

it will be man that makes good or bad decisions,

not God.

I wonder sometimes...

if politicians are making the best decisions

for mankind, for God, or for self?

And, which road leads to heaven?

I know of only one Door to God, and many roads to God. The Door to God is His provision and instrument, the roads are incidental to all who have the breath of life and will lead them, after this life is commenced, to His judgment. So, the question is, did you enter through the Door, or invent your own terms to enter into Heaven: Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life; no one comes to the Father, but by Me". As far as Satan is concerned, he has a horrible plan for your life, and is glad if you don't believe that he exists--that would be his strong suit...I hope that is clearer than mud, lol! A very sober and needful inventory of that which really matters in life. Seek and you will find; knock and the Door will be opened...

Thank You! I have been away for so long, I had to read it again. It is probably one of MY OWN few poems that I still like over time. Thanks for your kind words.

The answer to your question has an easy answer. The road to heaven is the straight and narrow one. Come to a full stop at Jesus, do not swear and ask forgiveness if you only perform a rolling stop. Most importantly put up the good fight and do not yield right of way to Satan. As far as politicians go we know the majority serve themselves and their interests. Hope you did not mind my attempt at a little humor. A well written piece and a 10 from me.

And who should we blame for this?

I think these questions have been asked since before the days of Jesus and will be asked for many years to come. Freedom of will has always been our greatest gift from God and our own self created greatest curse. I know not the answer to this time old question but I do know this, I very doubt that politics will give us any light in the direction to find the road to heaven, lol. The curruption and illusion of lies that is created by society are part of what gets so many lost in the wrong direction, forever walking blind in the darkness of the night, the walking dead... Great poem my friend, glad to see a little more length and substance to bite my teeth into to, lol. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! Your friend Angel

Yeah, sometimes I let my guard down a bit.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
