White and Black Clouds

"White and Black Clouds"

White clouds float on wishes and dreams
Where they manifest light showers and rainbows
Darks clouds cry out during the winds that scream
Blasting lightning and pouring rain harshly below.
Overcast are the days without the brightness of sunrays
For the step doesn’t spring and the song doesn’t sing.
When the spirit is as dark as the heaven is grey
But be mindful and know that hope is a mighty thing.
And it will shine when there are no lights in the sky.
However dark and wet the storm will get,
It will ultimately go bye-bye.
Remember your birthday wish when it glowed bright
Before the presents were unwrapped,
And the cards unread.
Think of the moment before it has past.
Believe in the dream before it is outlived.
Time has a way of turning around
And giving you a second chance of doing things,
That were undid, so don’t second guess -
Your choices and start over where you can
But don’t settle for second best.
White clouds float on wishes and dreams
Where they manifest light showers and rainbows
Darks clouds cry out during the winds that scream
Blasting lightning and pouring rain harshly below.
