Why are you gone?

    Why are you gone?

My tears stream down my face.
You have officially gone, and that I try to embrace.
I'm left here with no one to comfort me.

I won’t let anyone else in.
I can’t let anyone else in.
You are the only one with the key.
    The key to my heart.

    I try to hate you.
    I try to hurt you.
    I try to forget it.

I just can’t let go of it.
    What we used to have.
    What we used to do.

    I love you.
    I hate you.
    With my loving hate.

Awww....tell me you haven't gotten to the pain of love already. You should be nothing but happy. One silly little grammar error...It should be where HAVE you gone. This is the second poem I have read of yours and I think you have promise. I am looking for a poem on something about a pet, or the rainbow in the storm...or something about a favorite purse...?? How's about sumthin funny...hunny? lol keep up the good work.

I have in fact gotten there, and it sucks, but that is ok. It happens to everyone at some point. We all have to experience it. Thank you for the grammer correction, you are just keeping me going even more! I write what is on my mind and most of the time as you can probable already tel it is morbid and depressing, but life has been getting better lately so good thoughts should be entering my mind soon! Thank you!

Morbid. But I must say it is the conflict inside of us that heals those who know longer reach us in this world. I really like it.

Thank you! It is hard to let go of many things that have been inside of us for so long.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
