Why Do I Even Bother

Why do I even bother
I try so hard to work things out with you
Then i say one thing that you dont like and its like i dont exist again
It hurts me Its hurts me so bad that i cant do something with out making you mad
I just wish you could see that im not your little girl anymore
I grew up
Im my own person
I have a life that needs my attention now
I just wish you could exept the fact that i changed for the better and not for the worst
But it seems like you dont want to
So i have stopped trying to make you
I hope you will see for yourself later on in life
And make a change in your future like i did mine

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
