    why i play sports

    i run the race
    up high mountains
    down low valleys
    likethe race of my heart

i dribble up and down the coart
dribbling out the pain you pass at me
    putting up shots
so i can shot down the insults you say to me

i run the bases trying to get away from you
you pitch me hit after hit
    i bat them down unrelentlessly

    i play sports
to keep you out of my head
    to get away from you
    to revise me.

A ver artistic way to turn a negative into a positive.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
