    • I beat my head against the keyboard, insides squirming, trying to dredge my homework from the liquid abyss that is my bear-trap of a mind..

    Why Me?

Why me? I scream at the sky.
Why must you take my father away?
Crushing my heart with a cold bony hand.
My father slips away into a river of time.
My heart breaks free and rolls away.

Why me? Tears stream from blue eyes.
Why must you take my brothers lives?
Tearing at my flesh to expose muscle and sinew.
My brothers are lost in the desert of sorrow.
My flesh peels and dries, turning to dust.

Why me? Teeth bite and my tounge grows bloody.
Why must you take my sister's mind?
Numbing my brain into a cloud of drunken nights.
My sister is trapped in a muddied hourglass.
My blood leaves my body as fast as a river.

Why me? Fingers grasp and hair comes away.
Why must you turn mother's sweet to sour?
Chewing my bones into a crumbling pile.
My mother jumps off the cliff of despair.
My skull is worn down to the bone.

Why me? The body breaks and becomes rubble.
Why must you make me the shoulder of these burdens?
    The bearer of these sins?
    The dart board of humanity?
Why must I suffer for longer and forever?
    Why me?
    Why him?
    Why her?
    Why them?
The soul escapes from it's woe begone prison.
To search for a host in higher parts of life.
As it soars on the winds of change, I cry.
    Why won't you take me?
    Why not me?
    Why me?

i like the style of your poewm its pretty kool and raw like me

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
