why do you have to go,
before you can truly live,
before you can love,
can lose,
can care,
can hurt,
can share.
Before you can feel a mothers warm embrace,
before you can have a true friend,
one to stick there till the very end,
before you can truly love,
can have your first hug,
can have your first dance,
with the one you love.
before you can have your first kiss,
before you can lose the one you love,
before you can miss,
the one you lost.
i ask why,
they must leave,
before they can truly live,
before they can truly experience life,
before they can have a husband,
a wife,
why,
oh why,
do you take those innocents from us?
