    Why

I give you all my love .unconditional and so free
I call out your name, you won't come to me.
I fear the night, will never end
My tears they fall again and again.

Though I'm a seven year old girl, and I'll be alright
Oh please mommy, don't drink tonight.
You won't see the tears, I cry each day
While your at the bars, and I have nowhere to stay.

My heart is broken, and I'm so alone
Dear GOD won't you show me ,where mommy has gone.
Look down upon me, and shed just one tear,
For this little girl angel, living in fear.

She's only seven, and growing too fast,
With nothing to nourish her, how long will she last
Despair is her roommate, terror her plight,
How will this baby, last through the night.

Cry yourself to sleep, my dear one,
Your mommy has left you, and fright has begun.
Look in the mirror, with poor sad eyes: and say
MOMMY:WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME HERE THIS WAY?

This is VERY Beautiful, Mr. Morris!! Very! You brought tears to my eyes as I read. Children are so helpless. Why can people not see that all they ask for is love and tender care? They don't care if the have a nice place to live, or a nice car, or even a full family. They only want to love and be loved in return. So beautiful, Sir. A new favorite. Thank you for sharing. Def. a 10

man that was very moving i was saddened the poem itself is touching and is something that people need to hear, awesome

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
