    Poem Commentary

This is what I got from Eugene O'neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night.

    That book is hilarious.

Will It Take The Pain Away?

The fog is where I want to be.
Thick and dark, so I cannot see.
    Cannot remember when it rained,
but certain thoughts, come back again.
Thoughts that haunt me from my past,
thoughts I thought would never last.
What can take the pain away?
If not the cat that went astray.
Mom is gone, her mind so far.
Dad is always at the bar.
Brother and I, are left alone,
in a house, that is not a home.
What can take the pain away?
Walking through the fog - night or day.
Will it take the pain away?
Or am I left to live, forever in the gray?

a great poem. many neglected children will be able to identify themselves with the poem. nostalgic memories haunt us. but the Creator gives us courage to overcome. Just as for Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhamed ( he was an orphan ) a10 from me.

Very lyrical flow....painted a nice picture with this poem....good job

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
