    Will You Always?

    Will You Always?

Lying beside you in the dark
Your body pressing softly against mine
Our hearts beat a little faster
As I wonder what’s on your mind.

I wonder where we will be
    Ten years down the road.
Will you still love me the same
    When we are really old?

Will you always be there for me
When times begin to get tough?
Will you be by my side
When things go a little rough?

Will you always hold me tightly
    On cold winter days?
Will you promise to always care
No matter what comes our way?

    Will you always kiss me
    With your eyes closed tight?
    Will you hold me forever
And squeeze with all your might?

All the answers to my questions
I really and truly do see.
As you pull me much closer
And begin making love to me!

great questions to ponder when in love, less wording would have sent the same message. nice form, depth to your poem.

    good work!!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
