    Poem Commentary

I often wonder how it is that these weeds can push through the hardest ground and bloom a flower so brilliant yellow that the Sun is a tiny bit humbled. I called this, "Will" because this must be the vehicle that carries these flowers up through death to bloom where we do not or can not expect or understand.

    Will

    God sees this determination,

    Wind pushing the window

    Slowly creaks on hinges

    Toward the gray, empty yard

    While yellow dandelion blossoms

Burst through the dead dry earth

Thank you Kanicki, It is petite. This word petite carries it's own weight, no? Even in the the least of things there is our God.

The metaphorical premise here is excellently done. The fulcrum levering between creaking hinges pushes at or between blossoms and earth. Such strength inside and invisible wind. This is a real winner in my book. "What more can; Will!" That's all I have to say here. Well done. A poet friend/ RH Peat

Thank you my friend, it is a great thing to hear from so wonderful a poet and teacher. your friend, Paolo

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
