    WINTER HEART

    The winter wind sings
    it's lonesome mornful cry.
    Cold as a Wendigo touch brings;
    Listen, It's question is Why?

    Where it comes from; where it goes
    It's mystery a broken heart knows.
    No friends calls just foes.
    Heartache & loneliness; loves absent blows.

    Dying embers of youth have flown.
    Who cares when your old and alone?
    Seems hearts have turned to stone.
    Will anyone throw the old dog a bone?

    There is a lot of emotion in your writing. I can feel your pain emanating through your prose. This is where all art in my opinion wells from and I believe you have a grasp of your emotions. Keep writing you have much to say. Mike:)

    Your so kind and I appreciate you taking time to read my feeble efforts. May the sunshine of happiness encase your life always.

    Nostalgia creeps across rationality and leaves an old dog's tracks. Harv

    Thank you for reading hope it touched you on some level.

    The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

    Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
