    Poem Commentary

This is my first real attempt at blank verse poetry.

    Winter's Eve

    Breathe in, Breathe Out.

Chilly, crisp air stings my chest.

    One step, two step.

    Crystals crackle under foot.

    Pale glow above.

A friend in this barren place.

    My way is lit.

    I mount the luminance ridge.

    Night envelops me.

    Earth and heaven now contrast.

    Black and white worlds.

    I press forward in between.

    Thank you

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
