    Wish I Was There

    I find myself missing her

She has always been a part of my life

    Like a mother

    She rocked me to sleep

    Like a lover

    She shared my dreams

    Like a sibling

    We played.

    She showed me her secrets

    and gave me precious gifts

    Such a wonderful woman

    the Ocean,

    I miss

views of an old sailor living in the New Mexico desert. I suppose we always miss what we can't have.

Short sweet, to the point, the ocean has always been here, holding life, letting us enjoy her. Excellent write, thanks, liked your bio, so true, be well, k

A great metaphor... The ocean as a lover, protector, giver of so many things we want to hold dear in so many ways... Good write...
