    With Love, Sincerely Yours

    Dear Love
    Hey,
    It’s me once again,
With the crucial need to pen
About another mess that you've made.
    Charade,
    Masquerade,
So tired of being your maid.
    Didn’t make this bed,
    but in it
    I am forced to lay.
    While he,
    decides to walk away.
    Minnie Ripperton claimed that beautifully,
    You were so easy.
While Beyonce believed, you set her free,
when you grabbed hold of her dangerously.
And like a ribbon in the sky flowing freely,
You made Stevie Wonder sing so sweetly.
    Three different paths totally,
yet you still carried the same meaning.
That is, except when it came to we.
    You see,
    Now it’s back to them,
    And back to me.
    My heart faces he
While his back, now faces me.
    But my dear Love
This time you felt so differently.
    And although fear surrounded me,
Was more than willing to follow you blindly.
Thought you were with me on that edge
Where above, there was nothing but miles of sky to see.
Traces of you in his words, would ease my fear when,
I’d look to the bottom, and only the depth of the sea was waiting.
    Dr. Jekyll
    Mr. Hyde
    Complete
    with sudden false security.
Foundation he said belonged to we
    quickly
    begins to start crumbling.
    Underneath
    my feet
    suddenly.
    And despite you
    in our view
the one he wants, is no longer me.
    Dr. Jekyll
    Mr. Hyde
Two separate sides of the coin clearly.
    Same old song lyrically,
just set to a different melody.
With hurt lacing the hook methodically,
no longer can hear you in the harmony.
    With the song ultimately
    ending
    with the deceasing
    of we.
    My hand, he once gripped
I can feel begin to slip
    So quickly and unconsciously.
    Pain increases as I descend,
    Falling involuntarily, once again.
Never wanted to play this game or even pretend.
Not in the kind of shape,
to run this type of race.
All I wanted was to finally feel you in his embrace.
    Instead, simply used to fill
    Another temporary space.
    My dear Love
Didn’t know that even you were capable
    of having two faces.
    Thought he really meant it.
    Thought the foundation was cemented.
    No vacancy for anymore resentment.
Now there’s no sign of you in sight
As the day turns to night
No strength left to fight your fight.
    So my dear Love
The next lesson that YOU teach
To those who momentarily, YOU they seek
From YOUR shelf, please don’t choose me
As part of the experiment, YOU need to make.
    Numb
Not much more I can take,
Don't wanna feel anymore side effects of heart break.
    It hurts...
    I can’t.
Because when it rains, it pours.
To have to close another door

    With love,
    Sincerely yours.

THIS POEM IS SO GREAT THAT I SHARED IT ON FB TO MY FRIENDS. THIS IS THE BEST POEM ABOUT LOVE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
