Without Him

Without Him

Blood comes from my wrists and tears from my eyes,
All because i keep remembering the lies.
He said he cared and would always be there,
But he broke that promise which wasn't fair.
I see him in school almost everyday,
I don't bother speaking because theres nothing i can say.
My love and happiness disappear whenever i see his face,
The pain and memories always take their place.
I still miss him with all of my heart,
Everyday without him is tearing me apart.
But he has chosen the path that he will take,
So now my happiness and smiles i must fake.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
