    Women

In the beginning there was Adam
    From him came Eve
    A balance to the world,

    Tempted by fate,
    Eve tasted the forbidden fruit
    She knew the knowledge
    Kept from mankind
    And felt fear,

    Adam followed where she trod
    Pressing sweet fruit
    To foolish lips

    And then they knew shame
    They knew fear and hate
And they hid from their maker,

But they could find no refuge
    And in God's wrath
    He saw but Eve

    Flinging them into the world
    He left cursing their blood
    And Eve,

    He gave man the power
    To control his woman
    Forgetting the evil
    He let in Eden,
    Forgetting the test he set
    For women
Now know the secrets he witheld
    All that passed to Adam
    Were pasty seconds,

    God fears us now,
    The ones who defied,
We hold the best of man
    With the spice of woman,

So why have we lain still
    For so many moons?
    Now should we rise
And take back what is ours!

Fight! And we shall be Gods,
Now is the time for a millennium
    Of retribution

    Our new eden ...earth

    Sandina commented on Women

Hello Utopia, Indeed, women have been given a raw deal when it comes to that apple. Having successfully laid the blame for everything at the feet of all the women before us and all the women after us men are free to do whatever they want and then blame the woman for the outcome. I stand with you. Let us women reclaim what has always been ours - the ability to stand strong without a man holding us down. Peace and enlightenment Sandina

This has convinced me something I always knew. Man wrote a book that let his power prevail. With such cunningness, now war is his signature. Is it any wonder, since it is woman that gives life,it is she that must be killed with lies? I loved this.Words written by a nurturer.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
