Poem Commentary

Words Unsaid and unwritten until now

Words Unwritten

A door mat
Is that all I am?
Taunts thrown at me
Careless to my silent tears
An inkblot on a black page
A burden
A problem thats unwanted
unknown as a friend
Unknown as a person
Others treating me as unwanted dog
My heart has been broken
Yet i can still find the strenght to Love
To forgive and I try to step forward
Words once unwritten
Now i shall shout them to the world
Door mat am i no more.
Broken indeed
But People never forsaw the hidden dangers in my word
Laced with daggers and ice
only a whisper at the time
"Watch who you mess with they just might strike when you least expect."
It sounds like a joke coming from the girl who always hid
I will hide no longer
I wasted to many years hiding
7 long years
It was all
7 years of words unwritten

Wow.... I have a feeling my favorite poems are going to be flooded now. You are an amazing writer! I hope you don't feel like a doormat. ShadowStealer

Keep writing the words precious; and remember you are not a door mat you are a dream girl. Peace and light...

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
