    Work

Having a job we can appreciate
    While others unfortunately await
    Using our imagination to create
Considering the needy, so let us donate
    Working long hours every day
    Some complete their eight
    Others rather stay late
Wondering if the place you chose is fate
The boss saying you're doing great
Others stating the opposite, because they hate
Ambitiously working, there's no time to procrastinate
Seeking success at a steady rate
    We all can relate
    Lets keep our focus straight

Interesting! I truly like this poem because it talks about a practical subject, work. A common trait everyday.

Most definitely can relate. I am sure most can. Yes, this race we enter into on a daily basis. I felt like a mouse in a cage running around constantly and with doing it every day, it felt as though life was work and then cramming everything into two days and then starting all over again. I love your style of this write. Its realistic and your talent comes through its lines. Especially the line wondering if the place you chose is fate. Who knows, right? Love it!! Hugz

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
