    Poem Commentary

    This is part of the epilogue of what I am confident will be front page news in not so distant years.

    Wormwood

    Rev. 8: 9 -11    A meteor, prophesied as a judgment during the final days of this present age

     

     

     

    Planetoid Violator

    World Annihilator

    Sent, damned before all ages

     

    Miniscule details play

    As was then and still today

    Doomed meeting, scribed on pages

     

    No chance in prophecy’s dance

    To bear be brought blows’ deadly glance

    Hurtled to pay owed wages

     

    Planetoid Violator

    World Annihilator

    Sent, damned before all ages

     

    Vaulted far from deep unknown

    Tottering world on axis groans

    Life ends for cruel and courageous

     

    The third trump sounds this angel’s seal

    One third the rivers and springs congeal

    Acidity unleashed from time-locked cages

     

    Planetoid Violator

    World Annihilator

    Sent, damned before all ages

     

    Water swells in upsurged waves

    Smothering land in watery graves

    Destruction undreamt by mages

     

    The fish arise and float adrift

    Spread wide on river’s poison rift

    Pandemics shout vented rages

     

    Amid earths’ plagues dispersed, unswayed

    Dead bitter springs and water ways

    Saw lifeless thirst in sore hot days…

    Wormwood’s name is cursed, not prayed

    I love what you did here! The creativity within your writing as you use a piece from the bible as a source of inspiration! Awesome poem!

    It's a great tool and back-drop. If 2 verses can yield a poem this length, then I could spend another 30 years writing very minute of my life and never be short on material or themes. (doubltful I will make it another 30, or, for that matter, the world lasting...) I thank you for your courtesies expressed!

    Woah...........can it be summed up any other way? Short and sweet - the best way. The world needs more of this. The anointing will bring attention to even the most de-sensitized.
