    If I had only gained a smile

    I swear to you it has been worth it

    Swear it has been worth all these miles


    Day in day out, it was worth it all this while

    So let me leave you now friends

    Let us depart and accept my smile


    Though it goes I so know it made its mark

    May it leave you a little tender and softer

    May it I pray it heal that broken heart


    Oh, we shall see these were the days

    Though hard they make us ever so wise

    Though heavy strength is often given


    A little love that is sometimes disguised

    Though I know it to be true

    It has often made me come to realize


    That if all attained may be that of a smile

    I swear to you friends it has been worth it

    Swear by my heart it was was worth it, Good-bye
